Snapr ist ein ziemlich simples Plugin von mir mit nur einem einzigen Zweck: Es integriert WebSnapr-Previews in WordPress. Wie das aussieht siehst Du, wenn Du mit der Maus über den folgenden Link fährst: WebSnapr
Die Installation ist sehr einfach: Das Plugin XSD_Snapr herunterladen, entpacken und den kompletten Ordner in das WordPress-Pluginverzeichnis kopieren (/wp-content/plugins/). In der Admin-Oberfläche aktivierst Du unter “Plugins” das Plugin und die Installation ist abgeschlossen. Neu hinzugekommen ist nun in der Version 1.5 eine Option-Page im Admin Menü. Hier kannst Du wählen, ob das Plugin für JEDEN externen Link innerhalb der Blogeinträge Preview Bubbles einblenden soll oder ob diese nur bei ausgewählten Links manuell eingebunden werden sollen.
Um das Preview manuell für einen Link zu aktivieren, füge den Eintrag
class=”previewlink”
hinzu. Der HTML-Code sollte dann wie folgt aussehen:

Das Plugin sollte nun auch unter PHP 4 problemlos laufen.
Das Plugin verwendet den Original-Script von WebSnapr, ich habe lediglich einige Kleinigkeiten angepasst, um den Script in das Plugin integrieren zu können. Bitte verlinkt in Eurem Blog auf WebSnapr, wenn ihr dieses Plugin verwendet.

After downloading and extracting copy the complete folder “XSD_Snapr” with all included files into your wordpress plugin directory “/wp-content/plugins/” and activate the plugin in the Admin-area. Snapr 1.5 adds now a new entry in your Options Menu in WP Admin. There you can select, if you want to show preview bubbles for EVERY external link in your content or only in some manually selected.
To enable WebSnapr Preview Bubble manually you have to include
class=”previewlink”
in your link. It should look like
That’s all. Please delete older versions of this plugin. Snapr should work now with PHP 4.
Snapr uses the original script of WebSnapr with some modifications to include the script in my wordpress plugin. Please link to WebSnapr if you use this plugin.

str_replace ist allerdings case-sensitiv, unter Umständen muss ich da noch drum herum ein paar Anpassungen machen für den Fall, dass jemand eben nicht “http” eingibt sondern “HTTP”…
@Patrick: Ja ist normal, dass WebSnapr noch recht jung ist und fast jeder screenshot erst noch gemacht werden muss. Live wäre das wohl bissl zu heavy, daher wird gequeued. Gestern Nacht ging das innerhalb von 2 Minuten. Heute dauerts wohl schon bissl länger. Die PR is wohl zu gut

Yeah, v1.5 works brilliantly on my blog, thanks a lot; this is the best WebSnapr WP-plugin I’ve seen and tried yet! Even though andufo’s plugin worked out of the box, it didn’t catch all of my links, and stopped working appx. four posts into my blog (with appx. 10 remaining).

Ein Teil Deiner Previews sind ja zu sehen. Ich denke, im Augenblick wird WebSnapr extrem überrannt… Bei nahezu allen Seiten, wo ich es bisher gesehen habe, sind die Thumbs aktuell…

@tin: Hast Du auf der Optionen-Seite eingestellt, dass für alle externen Links ein Preview gezeigt werden soll? Wenn nicht, dnnn ist der menuelle Modus aktiv und Du musst die Links von Hand anpassen, für die Previews gezeigt werden sollen.
After uploading, activating, and setting the Options>Snapr>Permanent active: to “Yes” I then saved,reloaded several times and viewed the source. None of my links received the class.
I’m using k2 theme, should it matter?
Well, now…I just noticed that I don’t see the previews on the sites of others who claim success with the plugin. Could it be my browser (firefox)?

@Jason: You have Javascript enabled? WebSnapr need Javascript to display the bubbles. For me (and other) it works fine in Firefox.

Habe ein seltsame Problem mit dem Plugin – in den Optionen läßt es sich nicht auf “Yes” stellen und springt auf “no” zurück, wenn ich saven will. *konfus*

Beides sehr eigenartig. An der WordPress Version kanns eigentlich auch nicht liegen, setz die gleiche hier ein. Hmmm, bin im Augenblick ein wenig überfragt.
Speziell das eigenartige Verhalten in der Admin-Oberfläche ist sehr komisch. Der Wert in der Auswahl wird lediglich beim laden der Seite überprüft. Weiss grad keinen Rat, sorry

There were no entries in my database – so I edited it manually:
INSERT INTO `wp_options` VALUES (256, 0, ‘snapr_data’, ‘Y’, 1, ‘yes’, 20, 8, ”, 1, ‘yes’) ;

Feine Sache das Plugin – ich habe mir dafür einen Button eingebaut, weil ich so schreibfaul bin
Das Plugin XSD_Snapr verträgt sich mit dem “Link Identication” Plugin (http://sw-guide.de/wordpr...s/link-indication-plugin/) noch nicht. Da andere WordPress-Snapr-Plugins das hinbekommen wäre es schön, wenn auch mit diesem Plugin sowohl “Snapr” als auch “Link Indication” gleichzeitig funktioniert! Das XSD_Snapr Plugin funktioniert dagegen besser als andere Snapr-Plugins wenn der externe Link über ein Bild auf eine Flickr-Photo-Seite geht. Ansonsten: tolle Sache!!!

Ich nutze das PlugIn “Feedstats” und ich kann das zusammen mit deinem “XDS-Snapr” NICHT betreiben! Es geht beides NICHT gleichzeitig, sondern das eine schaltet das andere aus! Ist dieser Fehler bereits bekannt oder wurde das Problem schon behoben??

Ich hab die beiden Plugins inzwischen zusammen getestet, hier funktionieren beide zusammen (zumindest soweit ich es beurteilen kann). Konnte also keine Probleme feststellen.
Trotzdem habe ich das Plugin schon ein wenig umgeschrieben und werde in den nächsten Tagen ein Update veröffentlichen.
Es gibt schwierigkeiten, wenn z.b. ein strong-tag in dem a-href tag steckt. ansonsten super plugin!
Ich habe das Plugin bei mir installiert aber es funktioniert absolut nicht. Ich habe in den Optionen “Permanent active” aktiviert und es mit einem Testlink auf spiegel.de probiert, aber es funktioniert nicht. Was kann ich denn noch falsch machen? Ich zweifle ein wenig an mir…

@Tom: Mir scheint, Du hast das Plugin in einen anderen Pfad kopiert. Wenn ich auf Deiner Seite aus dem Quelltext den Pfad zum Hintergrundbild der Preview-Bubbles nehme und mir dies anzeigen lassen will, dann wird es nicht gefunden. Prüf das am besten nochmal nach.
@w4yne: Du musst den Links in der Blogroll die Classe “previewlink” mitgeben, dann wird auch dort ein Bubble angezeigt. Deine 2. Idee halte ich nicht für sehr sinnvoll, wird dort am Ende doch nur der Screenshot Deines Blogs angezeigt, von dem Artikel selbst wird nicht viel erkennbar sein. Also keine wirkliche Vorschau.

Ja, ich hatte das Plugin in einen Pfad geworfen. Jetzt liegen die Dateien direkt im “plugins”-Ordner, der Pfad zum Bild der Preview-Bubbles funktioniert (http://www.playboi.de/blo...wp-content/plugins/bg.png) aber die Sache an sich funktioniert trotzdem nicht. Was mach ich denn noch falsch?

@Tom: Die Dateien sollten schon alle in dem Verzeichnis bleiben, der Pfad sollte so aussehen:
/blog/wp-content/plugins/XSD_Snapr/
Und in diesem Pfad musst Du dann auch die Grafik finden können. Das Plugin sucht seine Dateien genau in diesem Pfad.

The links yours plug-in adds inside the tags are configured if wordpress is installed in the document root of the website.
On my site, wordpress is installed in a subdirectory.
The plug-in only worked after I hardcoded the path into Snapr.php at line:
$Snapr_pluginpath = “/WPsubdirectory/wp-content/plugins/XSD_Snapr/”;
Is there another way to configure withough hardcoding?

Dave, is your Home in WP-Options set to the subdirectory? The plugin looks for this path and uses this to find the plugin-directory.

Feines Plug-In; und es funktioniert auch zusammen mit link-indication. Man muss dazu nur die link-indication class für externe Links (standardmäßig liexternal) umbennenen nach “previewlink”, und zwar auf der Optionenseite und natürlich im Stylesheet. Dann funktioniert der Snap auch bei externen Links mit aufgedrehter Link-Indication.

It seems there is an issue with plugin v1.51 and Konqueror browser v3.4.2.
The issue affects only the wordpress plugin for websnapr page http://www.websnapr.com/previewbubble/ displays properly the bubbles on Konqueror v3.4.2

Hello! I’ve been trying to get XSD-Snapr working but haven’t been able to so far.
I’m using the Tiga theme with WordPress 2.0.6. Every time I try to select Permanent active = “Yes” on the options screen and Save, it always goes back to “No”. I’m not sure what else to do here, can you please help me if you have a moment? Thank you so much! 
I’d like to add that I can use “previewlink”, but not have it done automatically. Strange.
Upon further investigation, it looks like it always shows a thumbnail for GOOGLE.COM instead of the one the link is pointing to.
anyway to get this to work with the bloggroll
using Snapr 1.51, The little balloons show up fine. But never see anything but “Forbidden Request’ with webSnapr logo.
Am I missing something. It is assigned Yes.

@Dirk: Die Bubbles werden nur in den Beiträgen angezeigt. Um die Links in der Sidebar auch mit einem Preview zu versehen, müsstest Du in Deinem Template bei den Links ein class=”previewlink” hinzufügen.

Ja, der Forbidden Request kommt dann, wenn man bspw. auf einen Download oder eine Grafik verlinkt.
Da wollte ich immer mal noch ein paar Änderungen am Original-Script vornehmen, aus Zeitmangel ist das leider noch nix geworden…

nutze seit kurzem das Plugin mit WP2.2 mit der Option, alle Links automatisch als Bubble anzeigen zu lassen. Funktioniert soweit auch ganz gut.
Eine Frage hätte ich allerdings: gibt es vielleicht die Möglichkeit, durch ein Tag gezielt einzelne Links von der Vorschau auszuklammern? Also quasi das Gegenteil von class=”previewlink” im manuellen Modus, aber halt für den automatischen Modus?

Das Plugin funktioniert bei mir, wenn ich manuell class=”previewlink” an die Links setze. Aber wenn ich in seinen Einstellungen die permanente Aktivität für alle externen Links auf “Yes” stelle, ist der Wert beim Neuladen der Seite schon wieder auf “No”.
Es wäre toll, wenn Du dir das noch mal anschauen könntest. Mein WordPress ist 2.6.1.

@Don: Yes, that is normal. To see the preview in your sidebar, you have to add the class=”previewlink” part in your template.
Free websnapr only support up to 100,000 snapshoot.

Um das Problem mit der “Yes”-Option zu lösen, muss man in seine Datenbank gehen und folgendes ausführen:
INSERT INTO wp_options(blog_id, option_name, option_value, autoload) VALUES ( 0, ‘snapr_data’, ‘yes’, ‘yes’ )
Dieser Befehl macht nichts anderes, als die Option “snapr_data” zu erzeugen, die vom Plugin benötigt wird. Irgendwie wurde die bei mir zumindest nicht erzeugt.
