Wie bereits unten in den Kommentaren angekündigt, habe ich mich noch einmal um die Validierung des Themes gekümmert. Die Codes der bei mir eingesetzten Plugins waren für einen Teil der Probleme verantwortlich, einen weiteren Anteil hatten die Original Linkcodes der Social Bookmark-Dienste. Und da ich nun einmal gerade dabei war, habe ich, wie rechts unschwer zu erkennen ist, die Liste der eingebundenen Dienste erweitert.

Fazit: Der Code validiert nun auch wieder, wie es sich gehört

Originalbeitrag: Neben den farblichen Anpassungen habe ich dem Theme auch noch ein paar neue Funktionen spendiert, die mir wichtig erschienen.Zum einen wären da die Social Tools, die in der Einzelansicht eines Beitrages rechts oben anstelle der Feeds erscheinen. Hier hat der Leser die Möglichkeit, den Beitrag direkt bei den verschiedensten Diensten zu bookmarken oder zu posten.

Zum anderen habe ich neben der bereits vorhandenen Unterstützung von Brian’s Latest Comments und des Gravatar Plugins noch eine Unterstützung für Ultimate Tag Warrior und Math Comment Spam Protection in das Theme eingebaut. Ist eines der genannten Plugins aktiv, wird die Funktion automatisch wie bei mir zu sehen eingebaut. Für UTW beispielsweise erscheint dann unten die Liste der Top10 Tags in der Mitte, anderenfalls können hier eigene Links abgelegt werden.

Das Theme steht nun zum Download zur Verfügung. Über Feedback würde ich mich freuen, ebenfalls über eine kurze Info, wenn Ihr das Theme verwendet. Ich hoffe, es gefällt.

Ich möchte an dieser Stelle auch noch einmal LEMONed für die WordPress-Umsetzung des Fresh Themes danken! Ich vermute, ohne diese Vorarbeit hätte ich meine Variante auch nicht realisiert.

Ja, das ist mir ebenfalls bereits aufgefallen und ich bin schon bei der Analyse, was genau da die Probleme sind.

Eigenartigerweise werden da SEHR komische Fehler angzeigt, Teile einer URL bsw. sind als Error markiert etc…

Ich vermute, hier wird durch Plugins, die ich einsetze, einiges zerstrubelt, wie z.B. border und align-Tags eingefügt. Warum aber z.B. das h und ein / im einer URL als jeweils ein Fehler angezeigt werden, erschliesst sich mir im Augenblick überhaupt nicht. Aber ich arbeite daran…denn der reine Code validiert.

Wie vermutet: Die Validierungsfehler kommen von Codes, auf die ich mich “verlassen” habe.

Zum einen vom Code des Plugins “Related Links”, welches ich hier einsetze. Werd mir dieses nochmal ansehen am Wochenende, das betrifft aber nur diejenigen, die Related Links einsetzen.
Auch das Plugin Imagemanager setzt zusätzliche Attribute beim einfügen eines Bildes, z.B. border=”0″. Dass jedoch das Attribut “align” in einem Image-Tag nicht validiert, war mir neu. Hab das bisher immer für die Positionierung eines Bildes im Text verwendet. Hmm…

Zum anderen muss ich noch eine Anpassung am Template vornehmen: Die Codes der Social Tools, die ich direkt von den einzelnen Diensten übernommen habe, validieren nicht. Das werde ich ändern müssen, kann defintiv nicht so bleiben.

Bei diesem Template habe ich das Problem festgestellt, dass der Footer-Bereich die Sidebar-rechts unten abschneidet wenn die Inhalte der Sidebar länger nach unten ragen als der Text in dem Beitrag. Gibt es dafür schon eine Lösung.

Die Sidebar müsste einfach immer vollständig gezeigt werden unabhängig von der Länge des Beitrages.

Eine weitere Frage hinterher, wenn ich mir das mal erlauben darf: Unterkategorien werden bei der Darstellung von den Hauptkategorien nicht unterschieden. Würde mich über einen kleinen Tipp sehr freuen, wie ich es anpassen kann. Mir wäre schon geholfen, wenn ich die Unterkategorie leicht versetzen oder zumindest die Schriftart ändern könnte.

Um z.B. Unterkategorien leicht nach rechts einzurücken kannst Du im css-File unmittelbar über dem Abschnitt Bottom am Ende der Sidebar-Definitionen folgenden Code einfügen:

Nette Variaton des Originals…bin gerade dabei, das Ganze zu testen und ein wenig individueller anzupassen…

Eine (wirklich kleine) Kleinigkeit: Die beiden Icons mit dem Häkchen ganz unten ((XHTML u. CSS) werden am unteren Rand abgeschnitten, wie kommt’s…?!

Ansonsten gefällt’s mir recht gut, Danke für die Arbeit, die du reingesteckt hast…!

Ist mir noch nirgends aufgefallen. Auch bei Dir sieht es ordentlich aus, ohne abgeschnittene Icons. Hab es mit Flock, FF und IE getestet.

Ist es möglich?, unter bottom.php/AndereBlogs nur Links anzuzeigen, die unter einer bestimmten Kategorie abgelegt sind. So wäre es möglich den bottom.php/MeineLinks ebenfalls nur eine bestimmte Kategorie zuzuordnen. Das würde das Editieren der mittleren Spalte um einiges vereinfachen.

1) The links to the available RSS feeds contains errors while trying to subscribe in feedreaders. Is there any place I can edit the links?

2) In the bottom there is place “RecentEntries”, “MyLinks” and “ElseWheres”. Is there any way I can edit this?

1) The RSS-Links working fine for me and others. You use Feedburner for your feeds? Then the Feedurner-Plugin can help you. Or editing the links. Or you have to edit the links if you don’t want to use “feed:…”. You can find the links in the sidebar.php.

2) Yes, you can edit this in bottom.php. Just open the files in texteditor and reupload them.

@David: You only have to swap the content between the divs “bottom-left” and “bottom-middle” in bottom.php.

Thanks xsized, i realize you move the middle to the left etc. I’ve already tryed this. I want to move the tags “under” recent post on the first block. Everytime i try to do this it slips unto the middle. I made sure i closed all the php. Is there anywork around this? Thanks.

It’s good work, though very assuming of some people to know that the search bar is in fact used for that purpose.

Perhaps I’m just getting old but even the addition of a little magnifying glass icon inside that bar would help.

Also, you’ll find a greater ad-click ratio by using the ‘large rectangle’ offered by Adsense. The banner isn’t as effective.

Hi, das Theme ist geil. Ich nutz es jetzt für meinen Blog.

Hab einen kleinen Fehler entdeckt gehabt und behoben. Es fehlten Anker auf der Einzelseite, bzw. bei den Kommentaren. Wenn man auf der Hauptindex bei einem Beitrag auf “Kommentare” geklickt hat, kam man nur nach oben zum Beitrag, nicht zu den Kommentaren oder zum “Kommentar schreiben”-Feld.

Also bei dem Kommentar-Template einfach 2 Anker mit einbaun, einmal zu “#comments” und einmal zu “#respond”. Der Macher wird wissen, was ich meine

I have the theme installed and working on WordPress 2.1. I’m having some issues with the fact that link/blogroll categories and post categories have been merged, which makes for a bit of a mess in my case.

Also, the “Previous” and “Next” page links cease functioning in 2.1 – must be a deprecated tag class.

But the theme is fine, otherwise.

Hallo und ein herzlichen Dank für diesen echt tollen Style. Ich hätte hierzu noch ein paar Fragen.

Die Seiten Links im Header, wie kann man die Ordnen? Die werden jetzt nach der ID angezeigt und nicht nach der Anzeigereihenfolge die ich eingebe. Kann man das ändern?

@Mike: Schau mal in die Datei header.php, da findest Du den Eintrag

wp_list_pages(‘sort_column=id&depth=1&title_li=’);

ändere hier sort_column=id um in sort_column=menu_order , dann werden die Seiten in der Reihenfolge angezeigt, die Du einstellst.

Bei mir geht der Math Comment Spam Plugin nicht. Er sagt mir jedesmal ich müsste diesen Ausfüllen. Habe ich aber gemacht. Browser ist egal, ist in jedem gleich. Beim Entwickler habe ich auch schon angefragt, bekomme aber keine Antwort.

Habt oder hattet ihr auch schon das Problem? Gibt es eine Lösung?

Achte darauf, dass die Felder im Formular den gleichen Namen haben, wie er in der Adminseite angegeben ist. Stimmen die Namen beider Felder nicht überein, dann klappt es auch nicht.

Ich habe grad mal nachgesehen: Du hast das Plugin leider im Augenblick offensichtlich nicht aktiviert.

In der comments.php werden ja 2 Formularfelder für das Plugin eingebaut. Eins mit dem Status “hidden” und eins als Textfeld wie hier bei mir, wo Du das Ergebnis eingibst. Beide müssen einen Namen haben, idealerweise auch noch eine ID.
Bspw.
input type=”text” name=”Ergebnis” ID=”Ergebnis”
input type =”hidden” name=”hashwert” ID=”hashwert”
(siehe auch Installationsaleitung zu dem Plugin)

In der Adminschnittstelle des Plugins (zu finden unter Einstellungen/Math Comment Spam im deutschen WordPress) muss nun in das Feld “Name of field for user’s answer:” Ergebnis und in das Feld “Name of hidden field that contains the hash” hashwert eingetragen werden.

Solltest Du immer noch Probleme damit haben, kontaktier mich ruhig mal per Mail.

background: #191919 url(images/bg.gif) repeat-y top center;

und ändere den in

background: #000;

@columbo: Es gibt keine 2.0. Oder meinst Du damit eine Version für WP2.1x? Ist eigentlich nicht nötig, ich konnte das Theme ohne Anpassungen in WP2.1x einsetzen.

Ich habe eine Änderung, welche Du noch einbauen solltest, nämlich die Zeile in der sidebar.php, in welcher die Auflistung der Kategorien aufgerufen wird.
Wer WP 2.0 oder größer “fährt”, bekommt mit Deiner Zeile auch die Blogroll etc angezeigt.
Mit dieser Zeile jedoch nicht mehr (eckige Klammern durch spitze ersetzen):

Thanks for the update, I was wondering, I dont want the link in my blogroll to appear randomly, i removed the ‘rand’ part from bottom.php and it worked before, but when i upgraded to the latest wordpress version it didnt work and i got an error instead.
So what should i replace the rand with so the links stop appearing randomly.

Seit kurzer Zeit nutzen wir “not so fresh”,… in leicht abgeänderter Version. Man könnte es “not so fresh orange” nennen. Seit dem Wechsel von Fresh zu NSF gibt es positivere Reaktionen zum Layout der Seite.

Blogroll ist ja fest in Kategorie verankert. Wenn ich Links hinzufüge, dann werden die zwar unten auch angezeigt, allerdings kommt beim Anklicken von Blogroll unter Kategorie immer die Fehlerseite.

Oha, der 404 für den Fall, dass ein Suchbegriff nicht gefunden wird, fällt mir zum ersten Mal auf. Hab jetzt mal ein paar Begriffe eingegeben von denen ich annahm, dass ich sie hier sicher nicht geschrieben habe und irgendwann kam der “404 nicht gefunden”… Hmmm…das schau ich mir an.

Warum allerdings Begriffe die Du definitiv verwendet hast, nicht in den Suchergebnissen auftauchen verwundert mich. Ich frage mich gerade, ob WordPress vielleicht nur in den Inhalten, jedoch nicht in den Überschriften sucht…

So, die Sache mit dem 404 hab ich gefunden:
In der index.php ganz unten (ab Zeile 72) wird definiert was ausgegeben wird, wenn in der Suche kein passender Artikel gefunden wurde. Das war in dem ursprünglich von mir überarbeiteten Theme “Fresh” bereits so definiert und ich hab es einfach so beibehalten, ohne mir groß Gedanken dazu zu machen.
Hier könntest Du nun die Überschrift anpassen, damit kein 404 erscheint und eventuell noch weitere Informationen ausgeben.

Bei mir sieht es jetzt so aus.

I keep thinking I have found the *perfect* combination of looks and functionality, but am usually let down one way or another. But, this is (Not so) with (Not so) Fresh! What a GREAT theme!!! I simply love the bright colors, BIG text (this has become very important to me), and ultimate readability this theme gives.

One question: Why do Pages subcategories show up as standard Pages (i.e., not indented)?

Hi! Ich finde die WP-Theme “(Not so) Fresh” echt Klasse. Leider sieht die Sidebar (rechts) im Internet Explorer total nach unten verschoben aus. ich verwende dein Theme jetzt schon ne ganze weile und unter anderem habe ich einen Beitrag geschrieben der sehr rege besucht wird. Was mir aber aufgefallen ist dass ich in keinem meiner Kategorien einen Trackback/Pingback sehe. Kann es sein dass das das Plugin “Simple Trackback Validation” verhindert? @Rudi: Diese Links müssen von Hand angepasst werden. Hatte ich damals so aus dem Original-Theme übernommen.

Ich werde bei Erscheinen von WP 2.5 wie immer zunächst auf meinem Testsystem Update etc. erst einmal durchspielen und dabei auch das Theme testen und bei Bedarf auch anpassen. Falls Änderungen nötig sein sollten, wird es ein Update geben.

In fact, i can’t use a navigation on “Archives” and “Category” (you know Page 1 of 3 something like that or simply the “next & previous” page)

in fact, i can’t see a “page 1 of 2″ or a “previous page / next page” under “Archives”, “Catégories” and when you “Search” for a word in the searchbar in the blog.

Ich kann leider keine Bildunterschriften mit diesm Theme und WordPress 2.7.1 erstellen. Auch scheint dann die Ausrichtung fehlerhaft zu sein. Hat jemand eine Lösung?
